At Online Solutions And Innovation, Inc. , we maintain a blacklist of IP Addresses and Class "C" Network Subnets that we have found to be sending spam to our clients. When these Addresses and Subnets are detected, they get added to our internal blacklist, and are denied access to our mail relays from that point on. While we do not currently have an automated system for delisting, in an effort to help legitimate MTA's regain access to our MX Servers, you may contact our Operating Division from the "Contact Form" at http://www.osai.com/contact/ on our public website. Please put "Blacklist Removal Request" in the subject line of your message. You may optionally email abuse At OSAI.com to request delisting.
To determine if one of your IP Addresses is on our blacklist, just annotate the IP Address in the standard format for DNS Blacklist lookups with the trailing zone information being dnsbl.osai.com and attempt to resolve it. For instance, if the IP Address of your sending mail server is 10.20.30.40, then you would attempt to resolve 40.30.20.10.dnsbl.osai.com. If it does not resolve, then that IP Address is not blacklisted and we are not blocking you for that reason. If it does resolve, then we are indeed blocking you, and the IP Address that is returned will give you some idea as to the reason why. For instance, 127.0.0.40 means that we have received SPAM from your server and have blocked you based on the headers in the email. We are working on standardizing other code, such as for phishing for addresses, NDR Spam, etc...
Prior to delisting, there is some information that we need... The IP Address of any MTA's that require access to our MTA's, and we will need to get in contact with the owner of the NetBlock that your MTA's reside on.
There is ONLY one way to get onto the OSAI Blacklist, and that is by allowing one of your MTA's to relay spam any of the domains that we act as Mail Exchanger's for, or by allowing other rogue MTA's to relay spam on your Class "C" Subnet. So, in the event that you want to complain about the origin of your blacklisting, spare yourself the time and effort, because nobody is listening. The ONLY people that can add Addresses and Address Zones to the list is our staff and our software.
